  • When you love what you do it’s never work. I’ve loved training and sharing business lessons in Lagos, Abuja, Ibadan, Onitsha and Abeokuta in 2018. Who knows where to next, maybe Nnobi 😛

  • As we raise confident girls we want to also ensure that we are confident because we can’t give what we don’t have. Take time to reflect on the confidence questions in order to raise confidence in your children. See the repost.

Our inner group on our Facebook page has shared a lot of valuable information to help raise confident girls in 2018 and we will continue to do so in the years to come so help us God! The end of the year is a time for reflection and we would like you to reflect on the following:
What was your daughters biggest confidence goal for the year?
Did she achieve it?
If she didn’t what held her back?

In what ways could you have helped her build confidence?

Looking at her confidence level, which areas do you think she needs to grow in for 2019
1. Self esteem
2. Confidence in her abilities
3. Not being a people pleaser
4. Public speaking
5. Social skills
6. Doing things for herself
7. Standing up to her peers
8. Finding her voice
9. Being proactive
10. Loving herself more
This is not for you to share on this platform unless you really want to but for you to reflect on during the holidays
hope it helps #parenting #motherhood

  • So I was asked to be the pronouncer of a Spelling B competition for Word Assembly Church. I pronounced words in Nigerian English and British English just for clarity and told the audience what the standard pronunciation was. Children came from all across Nigeria to attend this competition! There was tension in the hall as kids were dropped out in the rounds! And the final winner of the Spelling B competition was Kamsi Otuonye. She did great! That’s a wrap for me for a while. I have tried shaa lol!

  • So I recently delivered business training in Abeokuta on various soft skill topics and here are some points that can help with “building great teams” using Raising Confident Girls Team as a case study.
The Admin Team RiRi, Damie and Yinka were just three out of our six Team members who were on the field for our recent charity outreach. The rest of the team Ladi, Ifeoma and Bonita where behind the scenes giving valuable support and advice.

Here are important characteristics necessary for a great team:

A great team have a compelling purpose: A legitimate reason to exist that is clearly explained. At Raising Confident Girls our vision is simple “ A world where every girl is confident. ” All our activities are centered around Raising Confident Girls.

A great team have shared leadership. The team is not built around one person. Everyone brings their ideas to the table. Shared leadership is also important for longevity of the team.
A great team have just enough structure. They find the right balance between structure and flexibility. A team should not be rigid.
All team members are active and committed to the cause; even behind the scenes.
A great team value differences of opinion, experience and approach to working. They don’t accept conformity.
A great team apply unexpected learning. They evolve beyond the original scope. For example at Raising Confident Girls we started as an online movement in 2014 and evolved into the NGO by 2016.
A great team is one that has common values and a shared vision. The values at Raising Confident Girls are Love, Empathy, Integrity and Compassion which all members seek to display.
The team achieve great results because they find ways to achieve their goals based on their compelling purpose.. @majesticallyrare @ladydee_onas @yinkae31 @bdelightedcreations @raisingconfidentgirls #teamwork #teambuilding #teambonding #bestteams #teamspirit
